Our Club

The Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club* is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. Our Head Coach Dasa Lelli founded the club in 1975 as a recreational program offered to children in the City of Ottawa. The club has expanded to include Recreational, Provincial and InterClub individuals, small group and aesthetic group programs. The KRSG club has approximately 85 advanced training athletes and over 200 recreational gymnasts.

The Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is one of the longest established gymnastics clubs in Canada, and was the first rhythmic club in Eastern Ontario.  It is registered with Gymnastics Ontario and is a non-profit, community organization run by volunteers, with professional coaches certified by Gymnastics Ontario.

The Club offers a variety of programs to suit the interests and skill levels of all members from age 4 to adult. Recreational training is offered in area schools and community centres to girls aged four and older. Advanced Training is offered at the Interclub and Provincial levels to interested and committed gymnasts after an audition process.  Auditions are held yearly after the KRSG Open House in June.  Placement in Advanced Training Programs is at the discretion of the coaches. Volunteer involvement on the part of Advanced Training families is expected, which helps to keep our fees low. To discuss your interest in an audition, please contact Head Coach Dasa Lelli.

KRSG partners with the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre to provide an opportunity for a girl to try rhythmic gymnastics in our recreational program.

The club is run by parent volunteers, and is a member in good standing of Gymnastics Ontario (GO). GO promotes all disciplines of gymnastics throughout Ontario, and has a membership of over 160 clubs and 60,000 individuals.
Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is proud to acknowledge the support of the Trillium Foundation to improve the safety and quality of training for all participants by the purchase of a new rhythmic carpet. The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives $100 million annually from Ontario’s charity casino initiative.
